hi im snake newbie and i need some help
this is my first post on this forum
i bought a king snake albino 70cm in a 33gal tank
now my bro wants to buy a black mexican king snake
and i was wonderin if they could share the tank without eating or killing each other
please let me know if u know anything or have had a similar experience

As I have heard king snakes will eat eachother or eat other snakes. hopefully a more knowlegable person on this forum can help you though!

i hear (dont know for sure) but it may not be good to house 2 snakes in the same tank... doubble the health probs doubble everythin...

No, it's not a good idea. There are sooo many reasons not to put two snakes in one tank, and not a single good reason to keep them together.

1. King snakes ARE cannibalistic, they can and probably will eat each other.

2. If one gets sick, they both get sick. That means two vet bills, twice the cost.

3. If one poops or regurgitates you won't know whose it is.

4. Snakes are solitary animals, having two together can lead to stress and competition for food, leading to more stress, which can lead to or make them more susceptable to illness, and that takes you back to the two vet bills idea.

And so on...and so on...

Placing two snakes together for breeding intervals is alright, but to elaborate on that it would depend on the species.
