Ok, I have decided to keep my tokays cause they are just soooooo cute!!!! I put some meal worms in with the babies and they started chomping down right away. My question - Could I put the babies back with there mom because I put them in a smaller container in her cage but I dont wanna put them back to have them eaten. Will she recognize them?

I wouldn`t recommend it - hatchlings should always be removed from the area - I don`t think the parents eat the young typically but they may be very agressive with them and create stress for the entire community

If the babies are hatched with the parents, it's safe to leave them together. Once they've been removed, the parents fail to recognize them as their own offspring, they think you've just added some new threats to the current eggs and offspring. In this case, even though it's their own kids, the adults will injure or kill the intruders. I can't recall right now how long the parents recognize them, but I believe it was just a day or so, after that they're predators who have to be chased away (which in captivity is killed).
