How thick?

Hey guys! I have a quick question about my Spotted Python...now he is roughly 2' long...but how thick should he be? I have tried looking this info up on Google and Altavista...but it only gives me the length an average adult should be. I have had my Spotty for a little over a year now...so any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

Your male spotty probably isn't even 1" in diameter yet.

I have an adult male who is doing 'his thing' as we speak, who is only about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" diameter at his widest point, and he is 4ft long. Obviously I don't want to disturb him at the moment, but he is only about half the width of his girlfriend.

I have a 2004 spotty male which is probably no bigger than 1/2" unless he has just eaten. I'm guessing he is in the 20-24" range.

All the snakes normally eat well and are active and healthy.

It does help...Thanks Tony!! I thought my snake was a little small compaired to my cousin's but I just guess it is b/c mine is a male.
