It looks soapy. How much of a humidity increase does it give you?

*EDIT* I just seen your other thread. To post multiple images simpy upload the photos you want to post into your free 1mb ssnakess gallery, click the thumbnail to make the image bigger then right click it and select "properties". The soapiness is just from the water bubbling through the sponge, like water wafter rapids. I would say it gives in my small aquarium with a screen top, around 20-30% increase.

I believe he's probably using an aquarium air pump with an air stone in the bottle to facilitate quicker evaparation.

Also check the first or other post "Humidity Helper"

It simply pumps diffused air to the bottom of the bottle, through the foam (loading it with humidity on the way) then into the tank. So far it's keeping my humidity at exactly 65% so, I need to tweak it a bit to get it under 60%. To fix the temp issue of pumping room temperature air into my enclosure I just slightly adjusted the rheostat on my CHE. Worked like a charm.

LOL "Bong", such a good word, I dont get it though....whats a Bong?? hehe I certainly would have never seen one :D
