Hi there......so imagine you have a 4'x18"x24" tank....you have a wire screen lid. You've got the UVB lights, the heat lamp etc. Except that it sits empty.
What would you put in, following the below guidelines......
1. Lizard type reptile (no snakes, sorry snake people, wifes rules)
2. Animal must not outgrow tank
3. Friendly "pet" like animal. (not neccesarily handling, but maybe hand fed tame)
4. Does not neccessarily require live food. Cat food, salad, veggies, earth worms etc.
5. Dirunal (day time awake)

What would you put in it. The world is your oyster. lol

You can hopefully see what I have below in my signature......what should I put in this tank? A australian water dragon? Some type of dwarf monitor? Small tegu?

Thanks!

Well you just perfectly described a blue tongue skink but it looks like you already have one, So I'd say Bearded Dragon or Uromastyx.

I'd go with the Uro's there are many many beautiful morphs. Of course I say Uro's because I already have 2 beardeds but both are great choices.

Id take uromastyx over bearded dragons any day. Just my opinion.

You could also get an ackie monitor. I believe they would be alright in that tank, even though screen lid aquariums aren't preferable for monitors, he should be able to live comfortably in that. They are a bit expensive in relation to other reptiles but deffinetly WAY better then beardies or uro's imo. They only eat insects though, but most are calm, they are diurnal, and is deffinetly a lizard! :D
