Hello.. I need advise.. My chondro is 2 years old, about 4 feet long, maybe 4 or 5 inches around girth wise (Im guessing since she is active now and I dont dare touch her when she is on the prowl!)

I got her a BIG cage.. 48 long by 2 feet by 2 feet.. But I think it is too big for her.. she only stays on ONE side, and she has been shedding poorly..

i was thinking of building her a 2 X 2 X 2 cage .. is that too small, ora good size.. it seems like it would be easier to hold more humidity in it...

Please let me know!
Thanks,
Tyler

Hey Tyler, what kind of cage is it?

2 x 2 x 2 cages are probably the most commonly used for adults. The larger the cage, the more problems you'll have with temps and humidity. Smaller cages are easier to calibrate, and chondros don't move much anyway. I'm going to replace my cages with 2' x 2' x 20" when time permits.

My adult chondros are kept in vision222(28"x24"x24") and do just fine in them.
