What are the odds.

Although I have been building up my collection for a while this season is my first attempt at breeding. I am keeping my het pair together for 3 days and 4 apart. I have seen them locked up around 10 times and am sure they have been locked up more than that. What are the odds of the female being gravid after 12 or more breeding sessions.

You are probably seeing one long lock up. My het albino pair locked up for 48 hours or so. Odds of her being gravid? Cant say cause some people will have a female breed TONS of times.....and never produce while some may go only a couple times.

What Chris said. There are no odds, I've had females breed 30+ plus times and give me no eggs, and a female that I never witnessed a copulation with give me 6 beautiful ones. Are you generally a lucky person?

I think actual breeding has very little to do with whether or not a female Ball will produce. Condition and age of the female are much more important factors, as well as the age of the male.........husbandry (temps more specifically) will also play an important role........
