After building theArachno-Condo (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=61325) I got ambitious and built a spider trap box.
When dealing with venomous snakes, trap boxes are a great thing. Basically a hide box that closes and traps the animal inside. I figured, why not for a spider too.

Quarter inch Sintra PVC on 3 sides with a 1/4" acrylic bottom. Those are 4 ultra-thin rare earth magnets mounted on the front.

The door is about 1/2" taller than the box for gripping and has corresponding magnets.

The door just pops on and is held in place withthe magnets.

On trapped spider. and acrylic on 2 sides offers visibility for inspection. This is great for cleaning and so forth. Particularly with those species knows for urticating hairs. This is Jessa's Fort Hall Baboon.
