I know I have a Leo that is blind in one eye for sure and misses his targets by an inch or more sometimes. Maybe you have the same problem of blindness?? and hes mistaking you hand as food?? Or you just need to feed him more LOL

I think this would have little to do with a feisty gecko. Some geckos are simply like that. I know of a rather large crested gecko breeder (Global Exotic Pets) who has two cresteds that are nastier than any Tokays I have ever encountered! I am not joking! I have never seen anythng like that in a ciliatus before.
I think that we often forget that these are still lizards.. and not kittens or puppies. They are still not domesticated.. and their wild instincts will often show their faces.. even in cute little leopards.
I wouldn't worry about anything here.

ya but one of mine was like that when i bought it... (from a pet store) you couldnt even put your hand in the cage... they cept asking me are you sure you want this one... as soon as i got it home i put a few crix in and no more nipping... she was hungry...
now personality has a bit to do cause she still cant be lifted without her freakin( not nippin) but as soon as shes out she loves it...

Yea the 3 Leo's I bought this weekend are like that still too, jumpy when you goto pick them up, but great after you do.
I think the reason why they're so jumpy was stress. The guy I bought them off had 6 or 7 Leo's in a 2½'x3' enclosure he had made himself with 2x4 ect, but the dummy only had 1 cave that was maybe 4" high x 8" wide x 10" long. Can you say strees for all 7 to cram into 1 cave......good news is every day they get better and better, not so jumpy when I goto pick them up now.
