There's actually a SsnakesS.com forum at the very bottom, this kind of stuff (and technical questions) are usually discussed there, but it's all way at the bottom of the forums so no one sees it :p

Why not just make your own avatar? Find a picture of a granite burm (or whatever is to your liking) and shrink it down to 100 x 100 pixels using Photoshop or even MS Paint.

...Or just get Matt_K to make you one like I do :P

Making avatars is easy. Just don't "Steal" pics. I am sure if you request pics of the animal you want for your avatar, someone will be nice enough to post one you can shrink down.
