Amazing. When I see art like that, it makes my mouth water with jealousy. I would give anything to be able to create like that. Don't let your talent go to waste, for sure!
Thanks for all the comments everyone, I was in a special art program throughout high school(halfday art classes, halfday regular school) but once I graduated the competition to get into college was too tough so I decided to just draw for myself. Last time I picked a pencil to draw was 3 years ago!Hope the talent is still there!

Great work. I have one crit though about something that is bugging me. The dog, you shaded it in a way that it looks smooth, almost rubbery. Add in some hair and texture then it would be amazing.
Good luck with starting again. Don't give up if you're a bit rusty.
Good observation! ya it's one of those pieces that I start and then get lazy and don't finish!Boxers have a very short coat anywys!

I was just going to say that... I think it's very true to life.
I had a Fine Art scholarship awarded to me but decided to pursue a Biology degree instead. I, too, have not picked up any tools in a looong time.

Those are incredible. I'm in Art School myself, so I can appreciate all of the time you put into the rendering. Just wondering what medium you used to create the last portrait of the woman?
Courtney
the last portrait was done with prisma colour pencil crayon on mat board. One of fav pieces. Its amazing what you can do with coloured pencil.
Yeah, it's really great. I haven't drawn with pencil crayon in ages - mostly graphite, conte' and charcoal...and lately I've been painting a lot. But I think I'm going to give the pencil crayon thing a try tonight!
Court
that art is absolutely fantabulous!!

Very, very nice. Those pencil drawings are so lifelike, its like I could physicaly touch them. I have great respect for anyone who has the skill with a pencil, because black and white drawings are more interesting.
I used to draw, mostly with pencils and I used to be able to look at one picture in a magazine or whatever, and sketch what I saw onto the sheet of paper. People often said I was infringing or stealing someone's work and breaking the copyright law, when all I was doing was looking and sketching what I saw.
But I haven't picked up any type of pencil or charcoal in about a decade, lol. Actually its goin onto six years.
Keep up the good work, I've met some very good artists, with all sorts of different styles. You should check in with Inticvus. His style is difinatly not for the weak, lol. ;) But it is not out of the everyday eiather.

I agree with everyone when they say dont give up on it. Its a talent. And I bet half the people in here would love to draw like that. I personally like the one of the boxer. Mind those are the only type of dogs that I grew up with.

Yeppers, I'll chime in again. You have a talent. It's time to harness it again and never let it go.
On a side not, Ken, have you don't any new artworks at all? :) I'm refering to the artwork like Broms. :D
