Well my friend and I recently got into this hobby.
We order LEDS, resistors, and such off the computer...and mod our gaming systems.
I have a green LED in my controller...a green one in my memory card..and i have my PS2 cutout on the top..with blue LEDs all around it.
Here are pics.

The discs I'm buying do the same thing, except are $20 each.
If i decided to get a Mod Chip..I'm sure I could fit it properly without damage..considering my friend and I soldered all of these parts fine. THe wiring is crazy.

All those lights in your system look great, but have you done anything to further increase ventilation within the system? I ask this becasue I would be concerned about the heat these lights produce. Though it may seem insignificant, I would be afraid that the heat produced by these lights in what is already a minimally cooled system would raise the temps beyond desirable levels. Have you had any problems with the system heating up and/or overheating after prolonged use?
I am only asking these questions becuase I have found that the sony systems (I have PS1 and PS2) to be fairly flighty in terms of long term performance. The systems rarely work properly after 3+ years of heavy use even with regular maintenance.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Playstation guy more than anything, but I have noticed that the systems seem to have a best before date.

Unless they're run at a higher than specified voltage LED's give off negligible heat. Even if they're running hot they don't give off anything close to the heat the CPU in the system gives off :)

And I though mod was going to show us how to hotwire it :D
For those back ups - to protect the purchased games :D

Lol they are LEDs. It's a risk they are willing to take to make them look pretty;)

Im not saying that it doesnt look good. I was only saying it cause a family member owns a car shop where they put LCDS in peoples systems ( stereo and game systems) And it voids the warrenty. But in return he gives his own warrenty.:)
There is a sight, I think its called "after dawn"( I'll double check)...mod chips were $40.

My boyfriend plays around a tiny bit with this, but we recently got a new computer and basically bought everything as it looks.

I know what they are:rolleyes: Any any chance you know what SONY MTC is ? Anyways besides the point I used to work there (Not as a tech) I just got to carry all the boxes (Labourer). Well what they do there is they get to fix all broken sony products. OK for my point people send in there PS2, and controllers. You no what the techs do they pack them up and send them back. Hense no warrenty. Alot of the techs there have it done. I am not saying its wrong. But the techs can fix it them selfs. Anyways
