I am planning on building my own rack system. Starting very small, a het pair from david kwok.

My question is: With all these beautiful designer snakes, is it possible to house them, properly and healthy, in a display tank?

Not saying that is what I am going to do, just wondering>

If you work *REALLY* hard (or build your own properly, not saying you won't or can't) But they will be hiding most of the time anyways.

Just remember tanks are hard to heat, and keep humidity in without the restriction of ventilation (just my opinion!)

But again, I'm sure you could if you worked hard, and I'm sure there are people that have.
It is basicly up to you and how much work you want to put into keeping them hot/cool enough and the humidity up.

I have a screen top tank that I use for my balls and have had no trouble. I don't use the balls for display though cuz sapphire is right. All they do is hide. I'm going to use my corn in my living room and eventually my beardie. They come out to play.

There are tons of customs cages you can either buy or build yourself that meet the needs of a Ball python and look very good as well.
