is it normal to get sperm plugs from a male that hasnt been cycled and that hasnt been introduced to a female this year?

he bred last year but isnt gonna breed this year

Well I think a lot of people can answer this question, however I don't think you should demand an answer. Try and be a little more polite next time you ask a question and you don't get a response in a few hours.
Anyway here goes teh answer:
When a boa reaches sexual maturity wheter he is cooled or not he will produce sperm plugs, cooling is generally done not to produce sperm but to increase the number of sperm in the count thus having a better chance of insemination.

Well you waited long enough I thought too someone would answer you. I got 1 male who was a proven male last year "Ramses" who is not planned for any breeding this year and I have seen some sperm plugs in his water bowl. I am happy he wants to do his thing but this year I put him on out for the season, but he has done the sperm plug thing - so yes to your question.

Yes, but it may not be viable sperm. Snakes have also shed the skin of their hemi penies so you maybe seeing that too.

i didnt think i was demanding anything i was just asking another question on top of the first one.

hey mo how do you read a tone of voice in the way some one writes? anyways thanks again and i wasnt demanding anything the posts were almost 15 hours apart.
