I found this interesting....When asked about the wildlife loss in the tragic turn of events in the S.E. Asian Earthquake, a Wildlife worker said that the rescue teams found very few if any animals that were not captives or domestic livestock. A great percentage
of the natural wildlife, reptiles and mammals, HAD LEFT, days earlier, a point that was noticed by the local natives but overlooked, retrospectively. The teams thought they were going to encounter problems with venomous snakes and reptiles that are native to those areas, but found only a few, alive or dead.
There is something to be said about animal senses and how, we as humans, disreguard our own "gut" modes.
On another point...Tragic events such as these show how fragile
human exsistance is when compared to the natural world. A few degree changes here, a few feet in water level there and .....goodbye
