Butterflies!

Hey everyone,

Recently there has been a new female interest in my life. Her name is Vanessa, and we've been seeing eachother for about a month (a very short time, I know). Well, for christmas I decided to paint her something, but had no idea what. I got the idea of doing a painting because last time I was at her house she stated there was nothing on her walls, and she needed something to put up on them.

So, I did some research. She told me her name meant butterfly, so that instantly sparked ideas in my head. I looked up the exact meaning of her name, as well as various species of butterfly. I soon found there was a species of butterfly named Vanessa, a very beautiful species, so I decided to use that.

So, what does everyone think about it? The idea? The actual work? Anything you would change?

very nice work! you have that really rare talent of being artistic and quick. i attended a fine arts school and many people were talented, but it'd have taken them quite some time to produce such a work.

Oscar: It took me about 8 hours to make, maybe less, I don't really count. I currently go to a fine arts school and I am blown away by some people's work.

That's strange. I looked in that same dumpster just the onther day and only found a half-eaten salami sandwich, a broken lawn chair and three old girlie mags.... I'm not complaining though! :D
