Heh, I'm sure everyones dealt with this.
Last night I offered a prekilled rat to my female and she hit it dead on.

At first I was like excellent and was very pleased.
I went about and started to clean another enclosure. (Should have left the room, lol)
Anyway within a few mintues I looked over to see how she was doing. She coiled around the dead body and left it! LOL.

I figured my presence in the room disturbed her, well an old lesson learned again.

You know the old saying, "You can't teach an old dog new trick".

Oh ya, btw, she ate for me this morning! LOL. This time I left after offerin another prekilled(good and dead)

Anyway, not sure why I felt the need to post this but, enjoy. :D

Great story. Its funny how BPs can have such different habits from individual to individual. I have a 2200 gram female that will strike and coil no problems, but if the lights aren't off and if she sees any movement what so ever, she will abandon her food. Other than that, she is perfect in every way and this will mark her third season breeding!!
