this isn't exciting news or anything, I just thought you guys and gals would like something to read. My little guy ate lastnight during a shed. He is in the "cloudy eye" stage right now. I haven't tried to feed him while he was shedding so I was pretty surprised when he took it! :D

Congrats! Mine normally refuse during shed but a couple weeks ago I threw a rat to one of my girls and as she was eating it, she started actually shedding! lol

I figured I would at least give him the chance to eat in case he was hungry and sure enough he was! Thats crazy that she started shedding while she was eating! I guess that just shows that every snake is different.

Typically, Spider Ball Pythons will most usually eat during shed. I don't know why. Does anyone know why Spider Balls are different this way? Is it something Genetic?

I wouldn't think that spider ball's are pre disposed to eating during shed. But then again I don't have any spiders :) But normals, het's, patels and I sure any other morph you can think of most likely will have a snake that eats in shed. I think it depends more on the individual snake then it does on the morph.

I have heard most spiders have a notable personality when compared to other ball pythons.

Not sure why but I have seen this alot on other forums during conversation.
