one question though, do hondos require that much vertical space? not criticism, just not all that knowledgable on them.

Sometimes criticism (a serious examination and judgment of something) is a good thing, I very rarely get offended (99.9 % of people on this site have good intensions). I went a few inches higher then needed for this species, but I was thinking about the future if I happen to trade (the highth certainly can't hurt). I also didn't want to crop the background paper, couldn't find any under 19".
I have a heating pad underneath controlled by dimmer and heat lamp on top for a back-up. I made the stand and cage as one unit.
Cage alone is 3'x2'x19"

bob that is my dream cage..
except i want to make two..one on top of the other..and have some storage space underneath.
