Here they are! This is my female and one of Hip's males. He lent me a male last year but it wasn't ready in time for this season.
Hip and Chris Riedinger were coming to visit for a few days and they decided at the last minute to bring this male with them and I'm glad they did!
Wish me luck,
Trevor

Thanks man! This is a very exciting project for me! I love live bare way more than egg layers. The only other thing this year that will be more exciting than this will be breeding pastel balls.
Cheers,
Trevor

TREVOR:

Not sure if you bred boas before or have seen first hand a live boa birth, but get ready with a heart machine the show is awesome and if euphoric. And once you see the little guys look up at you that will blow your mind, all that work and patience and relief all at once staring at yah.

The only live bare snakes I've bred so far were my Amazon Tree Boas.
This year I'm trying my Colombians, anery kenyans, Amazon Tree Boas, Rainbow Boas and maybe my Hog Island Boas. The only egg layers this year will be the pastel balls.

Trevor

Ive witnessed my boas copulating on and off for the last 2 weeks. It sure is quite interesting.

It sure is interesting! Not like any of the other snakes I've seen doing it so far. As a matter of fact I find it much harder to tell if in fact they are copulating or not. Most time I think he is just corting her as aposed to acutally being locked up with her.
Let's hope we both get a nice big health litter.
Cheers,
Trevor

Thanks guys! They are a sweet looking pair of snakes. The fist time I posted pics of the female I was asked if she was a pastel. She's not but she's one heck of a nice light/pink BCI. The male is awesome too. Lots of salmon colour. I can't wait to see the babies because they are always nicer than the parents.

This is actually the first pic taken but it was taken on Chris's camera and he just sent it to me today.

They should make some killer babies. I was about to snatch up that little male of Hip's, he's gorgeous... all until he changed his mind and decided to keep the little monster.

Wow! Congrats Trevor!

It sure is neat to watch them. I've seen my two of my bloods going at it and courting several times now. Fingers crossed for you and I and everyone else!

Thanks guys! Linds the little monster mellowed right out. He kept his colours or maybe even got better looking. I'm hoping to use him next year maybe.
Cheers,
Trevor

Looking good for sure man, got any individual pics that show off their colours? I can see that at least one of them is screaming pink.

As for the courting or copulating question, does anyone know how to tell the difference?
