Try to ID the snake. now a number of people have been to my house and seen this snake, and some people i have talked to about, i would ask those people not to answer please!. you know who you are.
Have fun!

Could it be a Leptophis ahaetulla?

No clue what it is, but it's got one heck of a mouth! He is cute too, but then I like thin bodied snakes more than chubby ones. Is there such a thing as a 'Green & Brown Watermelon Swallowing Snake'? :)

Thats a cool picture! (With the eating of the lizard.)
I was going to say Asian Vine Snake too, but it doesn't really have the funky sideways pupil... who am I kidding, I can't tell one colubrid from another :p

It's hard to say and i'm no colubrid expert. All i can say for sure is that it's a Leptophis. Perhaps Mexicanus, i don't know.

Katt's hint gave it away - she is sooo funny!! Very pretty little guy and nice to see more diversity in colubrid collections.
Thanks for sharing. Is the presina from your collection also?

it was part of my collection. but it was shipped out west... currently have an adult pair of prasina's. its more than enough. one of my favorite snakes i have ever kept are malagasy leaf nose snakes.

Sorry Katt - just had to give you a hard time!! Of all the people here you are one who knows these species better than anyone and when I saw your response was 'cornsnake' it broke me up!!
Did prompt me to figure out what this guy was though - very pretty snake. I am so tempted to indulge in some of the alternate colubrids and have been looking into a few of the different ratsnakes - this guy reminded me of E. frenata with the green color and eye stripe - so had to figure out what it was.

Mary, trust me. Vanan is the expert in these strange rear fanged colubrids.
I know nothing! It's only that Jordan is a good friend of ours and thus we know what this was. But thanks for the vote of confidence!
Glad to make you laugh! I love that!
