Selling??

I was wondering if anyone has sold their babies to their LPS. What I was wondering is how much to sell them for?? I was thinking about 70 for them but am unsure if that's a good price or not.

The pet stores don't buy at retail prices. You can figure on average to get about 1/3 of what they sell them for. If a crestie goes for $100 in the store, they probably bought it for around $30-40 max. For them to pay you $70 and make a profit, it would have to sell for at least $200.

Well my pet stores pay good prices because honestly I've got higher quality animals then they can get unless they buy offline and there's 2 right near eachother so they compete majorly. So if you have high quality herps you can expect them to give you a bit more. I get 20 for normal leopards they sell them for 35.00 make 15.00 so it depends on the place.

Wow the PS here sells just normal leos for at least 99.99. The one in another town close to her sells for 149.99. Just for a plain jane normal leo. Then agian herps are not too known here. They are still an "exotic" pet to own, like a monkey or something.
