video game cheat codes

I had a friend call me and tell me that he got cheat codes for GTA San Andreas, and he paid $30 and change for them off an auction site. I laughed and asked him what codes he got and how he recieved them(emailed). Every code he got he could have found on a website that I know of for free. I just thought it was funny that he paid for the codes.

I love that game why anyone would need cheat codes for any game is just insane. These games aren' t that hard that people need codes let alone buy them as well...your buddy got ripped off real bad.

I guess if you play the games a few dozen times and need the codes to speed up the game fine but using them before actually beating the game is crazy, better off renting the game instead of buying it.

I very rarely use cheats but i have had a few games that I have become a little ticked with and used the cheats and then took them off and played them over without cheats. I have yet to play San Andreas, my wife wont let me have it till christmas.

i dont like to use cheats , i think they are kinda gay

the site i gave has more than just cheats thats why i use it but i do have friends that like cheats that dont have computers so i just do all there work for them and get them the cheats

Yeah I agree cheat codes suck.

I find that it is some what disapointing when you finish a game (especailly a role playing game) The last thing I want is it to end sooner

Like when balders gate I came out - that game took about 8 hours to complete...I was sooooo mad!

And how saticfying(yeah I know) is it when you really didn`t finish it your self

Anyways I`m stuck on hit man II right now i`ll be damned if I cheat my way outta this one!

i dont like useing cheats unless im havin alot of trouble.... butu the cheats for san andreas are the same as vice city...lol... i do use walkthroughs alot though...

But I dont like using cheats.......cause one cheat can make the WHOLE game soooooooo much easier. I used them occasionally if I was stuck on a part to figure out how to get past it......but otherwise......cheats suck. And I find that kind of funny that your friend PAID to get some cheats! LOL.

The cheats for San Andreas are the same as Vice City's!?!?!?! LOL. I have a few pages of all the cheats available for Vice City, lol.

I don't use codes much but I can't help but think that a little web search would have helped the guy. Maybe he thought that since he was paying for them that they were super dooper secret cheat codes.

In San Andreas If you use cheats you can not achieve 100% completion of the game. Jus t a little info. And cheats are only fun if you goofing aroundin that game. If i use a cheat I always take out my mem card. But it is an extreamly awsome game and love to play it.

some are the same like the wanted levels and weapons... the health one dsnt work but the armour one gives you health armour and money... i havent tried any other... im really just out to have fun...
i really dont care about the 100% tag... if i finish it cool... if not ahh well its still a great game

I sometimes use cheats after a game gets a little stale just so I can go berzerk and have some chuckles

it is large i know... but i dont use thoes ones.... gamefaq.com is what i use... why pay for something thats free anyways... its like bottled water... its all a scam....

The only time I have any use for cheat codes is what they're originally put in the game for: allowing you to quickly move through a game to test a specific feature during development.

Can't stand it when I see someone unwrap the package, load the game up, and immediately enter cheat codes to play rather than actually try playing it.

My stepson does this and I've actually had to step in and tell him he's not allowed to visit cheat sites and such any more. Mainly because he cheats like hell in multiplayer games though, and I find that low.


I gotta wonder about the cheat codes being "gay" comment though... I've never heard of any that alter ones sexual preference. Just what was your friend asking you move up, down, left, right, tug, tug? :)
