Wow that's an awesome looking little boa! The colour is incredible! :sun:

Is that the cat litter? I've been using it for my rats and have been contemplating trying it out on my snakes. Apparently they have Yesterday's News animal bedding and other stuff too, which is why I ask. I haven't been able to see the other stuff, so I'm not sure what the difference is, if any at all. Either way, how do you like it?

Nice pics... I really like the pink. Yesterdays News?????? and is that sphagnum moss in the back round?

Yeah, I put some Terrariuum moss on the branch just because, but yes it is YESTERDAY'S NEWS that is used for cat litter made with 100% recycled paper I believe. I really like it, clean up is easy, it hold odour, and humidity is great.. doesnt mold.. so far (after 6 months) no problems with it... I cant complain..
Oh yeah and the Boa is great too :D

Thought id resurrect this thread and say nice boa, but I was just curious. . . How big is your setup? That tank looks gigantic, and I was wondering if you built it yourself and if you had any pointers since I will be building a tank for an Argentine soon. Thanks!

The only problem with "YESTERDAYS NEWS" as substrate is.....
If there is a water spill, or a big snake mess, this stuff expands like you wouldn't believe. So don't be surprised if you wake up and the enclosure is half full of expanded newspaper with your snake somewhere underneath it all. Just my $0.02.

Any thoughts on this substrate for a Hog Island? I love the little moss area. I need to redo his enclosure. I just got him and all it has is Aspen, a coolwhip container with a hole in the side and a saltines box. Very sad...

Are there any chemicals added to Yesterdays News? If the snake swallowed it would the ink be harmful?

Paul.
