I just adopted this snake form pet co. it had just come in and i was in there getting f/r for my bp so i took it home. honeslty the person there couldnt tell me what type of snake it was. I'm guessing its a rat snake just want to be sure. they say it was 3 and a female but owner didnt say what it was lol . Can anyone help me. i uploaded soem pics of here into my members galery :grab:

That's a Grey ratsnake Elaphe obsoleta spiloides. Looks like a nice one too.

You can keep them the same way you'd keep Black, Red (Corn snakes) or Yellow rat snakes. I kept one for about 10 years and he was a great snake- ate about 5 mice at a time and was around 6 foot in length.

Thanks I went back up to the pet store and tried to get some mor einfo. owner says its a corn snake. oprox 3 yrs old and feeds on med rats every 2 weeks. I measre hi, at aprox 5 ft long. my gf seems to think its older then 3 yrs old

Wow is that ever a nice grey rat!! Congrats on getting such a beautiful snake!
