Doing just about anything to avoid studying so I'll post some pictures.

SnakeHunter, maybe the patternless one you saw was a Jefferson they do grow larger then Spotteds.

Nah, dont get Jeffies in my area, Im sure she was a spotty, had ALL the characteristics of one, hard to explain, its just one of those things where you could just tell, karma.

peterm, anywhere around us, Newmarket. I'm trying to get my brother out next Spring, He's got horseshoes up his a@# when it comes to finding salamanders. Where abouts in the Newmarket are you?

These were all found in early spring in the Hamilton area, at small ponds that have no fish.
2 years ago I found a yellow spotted on Dec. 18th walking around on some leaves, but I'd never expect to see one that late again.
