Its still waaayyy early. The people who have introduced now won't necessarily see eggs any faster. Just because copulation is occurring, doesn't mean ovulation is. Or even proper sperm production! The season hasn't even started yet. Just make sure your animals are healthy and that you get cycling down pat first. All the October breedings in the world mean nothing. Its the ones before ovulation in December and January that are important. Heck, I had a Ball ovulate in May and give eggs in July!! Don't worry about it.
lol thanks guys ..
I am thinking of waitting a bit longer now..

I cant wait until I see some eggs. I just started to cool my childrens and will be until early December. I cant wait - this is so exciting!
hey Doms what are you doing to prepare your bulls??
it seems way to early for them!
No kidding, we don't plan on putting down our columbrids til December, I'm going to put down my kings early though.
Honestly- I am clueless when it coems to breeding clollubris .. any help or sugg. would be apreciated..
I seem to be treating them like pythons lol .. I have not had time to fully research them as of yet .. Not quite sure if they are fully mature yet .. (4 feet long each) ..
Again 0- I have never bred or tried to dreeb collubruds .. any sugestions would be apreciated
Thanks
Dom
This is what we do.....we stop feeding alltogether at the end of October and let there temps drop to around 80 or so, then after a month around the first or second week of December, when we are sure there cleaned right out we put them in the basement where the temps sit around 55 or so, we leave them down there untill around the beginning of march, all the time while they are in the Basement we always change the water, about every 2 weeks or so, then when you bring them back up feed them as much as they will take, after there first or second shed we start placing the animals together.........hope this helps
55 that low.. no warm spot at all at anytime? Ouch..In march do u introduce em b4 warming up or after .. do u feed them b4 introduction or after... SO i imagine u stopp feeding them all together for all those month because of the low temps..
When introduction occurs, do u do the week on and off with them...
Thansk Joe and mellissa - sorry for all the questions

Ask MORE questions!!! My snakes won't be ready until 2004 at the earliest, but it's never too early to start researching.
Good luck with all your efforts!
Yes, I want info on it too, hoping that next year we'll be able to produce something.

I stop feeding my breeders in late October to Mid November and let their digestive track clear for 2-3 weeks. I then drop temps below 60F and leave them there till the end of Febuary, providing water throughout the cool period. At the end of Febuary I bring the temps back to 75-85 gradient and feed all the female will eat for a couple of weeks. I generally intro the males 1 day after the first shed for a week, remove them, feed like crazy and re-intro the male for a week after the second shed. If I have a female scheduled for a double clutch, I again intro a male 3 days after the first lay
Snow bulls, I want some! Ok Vanan wants them more than me.
Put us on your list!
