Meet "Pigasus" - the Flying Pig. She flew out of the delicup and attached herself to my thumb when I tried to put her into her new home. The name fits ;)

Now that I've got an unrelated (though extremely young) pair, that should do it for my hognose addiction. . . . . . right?

Too cute Hilde -- love the name :D As for that being "it" though... I wouldn't count on it :p

Congrats on your new pair, hogs are awesome!

Any reaction at all to the bite compared to a normal Colubrid bite? Mark

Nope, no reaction but I wouldn't expect it from the 'bite'. She's barely 9 inches/ 23 cm long so her mouth isn't big enough to do much damage to my thumb. I did feel teeth, but there wasn't any sign that she broke the skin, no bleeding either. She attacked the side of my thumb, so only her front teeth got a hold of me.
Even though they're supposed to be 'safe' for a rear fanged snake, I don't intend to take any chances when the two are older. She just got me by surprise when she lunged out of the delicup.
I've had a worse bite from my Ruthveni when he missed the hopper and got my hand instead.

I ask because I've kept them before & currently keep Speckled Hognoses. I have seen a few pics of people who have "reacted" & I too don't plan on being tagged by them. I used to be more worried of the baby Hognose than the adult Pythons LOL Mark

I have a related pair, the TRUE sign that I am addicted! WHY? No one wants inbred snakes right?
