just off the top of my head: cuban knignt anole. they are really cool, bright green very active, good display lizards, and fairly inexpensinve. other ideas: a leo or fat-tail (colorful, easy and handlable), golden gecko (active and cute), a sandfish (small colorful skink that "swims" in sand. many other types of gecko would work too. also, many species of small glass lizard are cool, or longtail grass lizards, fence lizards.

Nope, these guys get too 24 inches long, not a good choice for a ten gallon but still very nice to have.

I would say soem sort of aboreal gecko:
White-lined Geckos
Golden Geckos
Viper Geckos
Leopard Geckos
Fat tail geckos

Any small gecko....and any small swift or lacerta.

cuban anoles and cuban knight anoles are very different, particularly in size. they also have differently shaped heads.

Cubans are also called brown anoles and are the same size or smaller than greens.

What about a satanic leaftail? Those guys ROCK.

A cresty could live in a 10 gallon..or would it be better in a 15?

Thunder -
We all make mistakes, I was sure you just made a mistake but I never wanted the guy to get confused.

Bartman -
A crested can live in a 10 gallon, but a 15 or 20 gallon is much better.

a 10 gallon for a crested is torture. Minimum I would ever give an adult cresty is a 20 gallon high.

Hey the REPTILES magazine says a 10 is fine so i would say it isn't touture.

A person can live in a 6x6 cell...

In all my experience cresties need room to jump, climb and hunt, 15 or 20 is probably best. I wouldn't keep anything other than a hatchling (crested-wise) in a 10 gallon.

For a ten gallon tank, you would do well with a number of small, terrestrial geckos that include (singel species setups only of course):

Stenodactylus sthenodactylus (isreali sand gecko)
http://www.gekkota.com/html/stenodactylus.html

Teratolepis fasciata (viper gecko)
http://www.gekkota.com/html/t__fasciata.html

Tropiocolotes tripolitanus or T. steudneri (Micro Gecko)
http://www.gekkota.com/html/t__tripolitanus.html

Geckonia chazaliae (helmeted gecko)
http://www.gekkota.com/html/geckonia.html

With the above mentioned geckos, I have posted a link below each with photos. The above geckos are small, and for most of them, a nice little harem of 1.2 (1 male 2 females) will have plenty of room to run in a ten gallon tank. They are all from beginner level to intermediate in terms of difficulty to keep, and all are incredibly interesting animals that are a little different than what you normally see. These are not the most common species, but can be found at a number of pet stores with a few calls around. These are all for the most part, arid type environment geckos (it is a little more complex than that though), but are generally not too difficult to setup, adn keep happy. I realy recommend the isreali sand geckos. I just picked up a trio tonight. NEat little geckos! There is a great care shee tfor them by NEil Meister found here:

Good luck, and I hope this opened up some new doors.
