hi there.....not sure if this is the right place for this question but i think so,,lol........i was wondering if anyone knows if real black lights (fluoresent) are benificial or harmfull for lizards.....like coud i put on on my tank for night time?........Lucas

i know there is one made for herps or invert. but im not sure if theres anything special about it

i think you might be better off buyin a rep one..... if you dont have a extra reflector lamp... you can get one at walmart for like 6 bucks..... they only hold 75 w though.... and when you first plug them in it will smell like burning for about an hour... that stops though

black lights are bad for the eyes and skin. lotsa uva. there are 2 types one being worse...dont remember which. i think its the BL type thats worse, and the BLB thats not AS bad.
