I've heard Blood Pythons are lazy. Is that true? Cause I was thinking about possibly getting one but I like active herps.

They arent lazy. Its not like they have to go to the store or do homework or something. They are pretty inactive animals though. They arent cruising around all the time they just usually 'chill'. Not the best idea if you want something active.

They definitely are the type to sit and wait for something to happen... my guys rarely move around. In the wild they pretty much just sit in swamps and wait for food to come along. Don't let the cumbersome appearance fool you though... these snakes can move when they want to. Even when I had tree boas they couldn't match the speed, and especially the force, these snakes hit with.

If you like active herps, you might want to consider colubrids. They are MUCH more active than most boids are. Most colubrids require more space in comparison to boids due to the fact that they are very active in their cages. Out of all my boas and pythons, the only ones I really see moving around much are Rosy Boas. Even then, I wouldn't really label them as active.
