how many hides do u have in with her? If you only have one on the cold side she will choose to hide instead of keeping warm. Plus she will slways seem to be cold when u touch her cause humans are warm blooded and snakes are not.
True, the palm of your hand is around 90-92 degrees, and gets to about, and if your ball python is over her warm spot, she'll be warming up to 90-95 degrees, so even warm, there really is no difference in temp between your external temp. and your snakes external temp. I wouldn't worry, snakes aren't stoopid, they know when to get warm.

The only thing I would suggest is to double check your temps with a good thermometer.

Like BiodKeeper take a look at the temps , but if
she is cold she will know when to go warm up .

what if the hotspot is too hot, like 105degrees; would she avoid it and stay on the cool side?

Is this farkus or 'tunia galen? I would check temps use a digital thermometer, I had one but it broke, I got it at target, it was like 14 bucks. Get one and Ill pay you back, or you could just wait till I come home and I could pick one up while Im home. SEE YOU SOON!
true, i got my digital thermometers at walmart for like 9 bux canadian and they are ALL i need, external and internal probe, now i got an infrared tempgun from proexotics i barely ever use thermometers anymore i love this thing. make sure u got hides on both sides. make sure the warm side is comfortably warm not hot(85-90f). other then that, if everything is perfect in the cage, maybe ur ball just prefers cooler side. but do not let cool side drop below 78f. is the snake eating by the way?
