Odd looking doesn't cover it. I couldn't sleep with a cat that looks like that in the house. Too freaky looking for me.......

I bet those little kitties must shiver like there is no tomorrow in the winter time. If I had one, he would be wearing a little kitty sweater all day long to keep him warm :) I'll bet they are cute as hell in real life.

lol daver. My ex and I had a couple chinese crested dogs( well she still has them). Being mostly hairless, they wear sweaters in the winter and little t shirts in the rest of the year. They don't seem to mind the cold too much since they are so active running around in the snow. Then again they live in southern ontario, not sure how they'd like winters out west.

those cats are discusting.

They cant be exposed to sun light for long durations.
They cant be exposed to the cold for long durations.
They cant be exposed to the heat for long durations.
They need lotion spread on their skin to stop it from drying.
I believe the food needs to be higher in protien then normal breeds (like kitten food)
And there is more "needs" that I cant think of off the top of my head. Verry needy animal.

I love the Sphynx cats. It's a genetic anomoly that popped up in a litter of kittens a long time ago. They have been bred for several generations to be recognized by TICA. They have truly amazing personalities, and don't really require the extra care that people think. I have had a few come through my rescue organization as well as cornish rex and devon rex, and their new owners couldn't be more thrilled with their new companions. Yes they do require a bit of special attention, but think about owning reptiles. Now that's a lot of work!!!

I did a little research on them once (out of interest) and I think the only thing that makes them require more work is that they need to be bathed regularly. From what I remember, it's not that they need lotion spread on them to keep them from drying but instead, they are more oily than other cats. So they need their ears cleaned more often, etc.

I think the first one was born in Canada.

The cat in the pic is beautiful but it looks declawed (so sad :( )

I think the kitty in the picture is beautiful too. When I was at the vet's once I saw a fellow with a Cornish Rex (sp?) ....It was SO cute.

I'm up for getting a Chinese Crested, although my sister has a King Charles puppy who she will have bred when she becomes older.... VERY sweet pups!

Oops! My bad. The cat isn't declawed. It still has its fingertips.
