Alex,

Like I told you before
those are just regular amels.
For some reason, they are born like that.

mu ha ha ha ha

Very nice to see the follow-up on these guys. Have seen similar posts on amels that have almost no red when hatched. Is there any chance these guys are homozygous for one of the hypo genes?? Some suggestions that the amels that start out as so pale may be hypo amels - similar to coral snows that are homozygous for hypo A. With the vareity of hypo genes out there now, certainly something like that is possible. Every tried breeding these to ghosts or hypos?

Even if their genetic makeup is normal amel, they are very pretty snakes as they mature.

they for the kind words guys!
and yes Mary, I'm pretty sure he's Homo hypo and amel, the ''father'' is a hypo het amel and the ''mother'' is a amel het hypo...:)
I took some pics to compare a red candy cane, a normal amel and my weird little guy...;)

Too cool on how they changed as they developed, Mark
P.S. No disrespect but ya need to seriously consider some proper size water dishes as the ones pictured are no where big enough for those specimens.

In my opinion they are big enough, they are doing well for a long time with those water dishes, they are shedding without any difficulty, they are breeding well, growing well and the most important they are drinking well :) no disrespect, only different opinion it's normal! :)
Ciao ;)

No Disrespect from here aswell, But I have to agree with Mark. The snakes should be able to soak in their water dishes.

It is interesting however how those snakes change and the color they are born. Thanks for sharing.

I have hatched out "snows" that later showed amel. There's a lot that are hatched that way. A friend was calling his "morphing corns" a few years back:) and some of his hatched snow then turned into bright orange "sticks"!
Also, wondering where in husbandry literature it says you must have water bowls large enough for your corns to soak.
I use larger bowls, but I think they need only drinking water if they are otherwise shedding and eating etc. fine.

i have to agree with crimsonking. If they humidity in the enclosure is high enuff that they are shedding fine, they dont need to soak
