View Full Version : Indiana Jones IV Production
OH GOODIE GOODIE!!! One of my all time fav movie series is comming back!
According to TheIndyExperience.com, Harrison Ford has confirmed that his role in the much-rumored production of another Indiana Jones sequel is indeed true. However, he admits that future sequels may feature a younger actor, similar to the James Bond series post-Connery.

OOOOOH, dear. Indiana Jones reminds me all too well of a "Bible" teacher I once had back in middle school. He was an archaeologist who was the very definition of eccentric and never taught us about the Bible so much as he did about how to be an archaeologist. In fact, he once had us "excavate" a bunch of potsherds he had brought home from the middle east and buried in back of the school.
And when I call this guy eccentric, I MEAN eccentric. He was constantly elooooooongating his wooooooords whenever he taaaaaalked to us, don't ask me whhhhhhhhy. He also once tried to demonstrate (not successfully) how to blow a ram's horn (it sounded like he was blowing a raspberry). And he was a HUGE fan of Indiana Jones. I mean, this guy walked around with cargo pants on with a rolled up bull whip attached to the back. He was also always showing us these slides of places he had been such as Petra that had also been featured in Indiana Jones movies, and even bragged about sending in suggestions for the next movie (not that I think they'll ever use them... ).
Considering the fact that he always annoyed me to absolutely no end, he kind of ruined the Indiana Jones movies for me...

I wish my teachers reminded me of Indiana Jones ;)
That's AWESOME, I've been waiting for what seems like forever for them to start up production on the 4th installment. I was really disappointed when I heard it'd been shelved several months ago...but now I'm looking forward to it :D

A bible teacher who was an archeologist? Ha ha, weird. Wonder what would have gone through is mind if he ever dug up say a neanderthal or a different early huminoid? LOL!

That's exactly what I was thinking Jeff; I guess his Carbon dating equations max out at 6000 years ;)
...Bible-teaching archaeologist... isn't that an oxymoron like Military Intelligence or Government Organization?

Not really. Archaeology is merely "the study of past human life and culture." Theres no reason why a Christian couldnt be an archaeologist.

I don't think anyone had said that a Christian can't be an archaeologist; we were merely pointing out the humour in the duality... The humour lies in the Christian belief that the Earth is approximately 6000 years old - seems severely limiting to the study of past "human life and culture" if you ask me...
Note the use of the word "prehistoric" in this (http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/archaeology) definition. There's not much time left for archaeological study after you subtract recorded history (estimated at 5,000-5,500 years) from 6000 years.
See, it's funny...
Anyway, this thread is treading on thin ice, so I'm off...
