Reasons for Rubbing?

K...my burm is in an enclosure that is DEFINATELY big enough, and the temperatures are kept well. Are there any other reasons that my burm is rubbing and pushing everything so much? He's starting to rub his nose raw...nostrils may be covered soon!

He eats a lot, but could this still be hunger?

try covering the glass portions of the cage with newspaper. sometimes the rubbing is just wanting to get out into the world, and if he cant see it he may be less interested.

K, First just wondering how big the tank is that you have it in? and what are the temps?
But..i have noticed one of our snakes rubbing her nose alot on a log hide in her cage and when i picked her up i noticed that she had a couple mites on her. So you should check it over and take a good look at its head and make sure there arent any very tiny little black mites on it. If there are then your gunna have to sanitize the cage and all thats in it. Spray it down with Nix and all that fun stuff....if you need more advice on how to do that just ask and ill let ya know how to deal with that.
So check for the mites and let us know...other then that..maybe its something more serious like mouth rot....probably not..but you should check that out...see if everything inside its mouth looks normal.

In addition to what wa already said, the drive to breed can turn some (mature) snakes in to cruising machines. I have a female (boa) that literally mashes her face every breeding season. Does your snake have enough security in its cage? Sometimes they may not just want to get out, but they may just be looking for a more suitable environment.
