Do not talk about politics or turn this into a US bash thread or it will be closed down. Simply answer the yes or no question please.
Thanks,

I have only seen two of them. F9/11 and BFC and I liked both.
I've only seen 9/11 and BFC too and I enjoyed both.
I love them although I found F911 to be a bit unfair
very creative and bold person however

The Big One is really good too. It's a film he did while on his book tour for his book Down Size This.
Cheers,
Trevor
They are good films. Especially BFC although I wasn't happy with some "changes" and tactics he used in 9/11 and it opened my eyes that no one simply tells both sides of a story.
He is a good filmmaker though for sure.

I'm ahuge Moore fan, from start to finish. Having said that, regardless of the love or hate for the man, if nothing else, he has brought the art of documentary film making to the forfront. Thanks to his recent success, it has been an AMAZING year for documentaries.

Have you seen his first one about the GM plant that closed in his home town? It's called Roger and Me.

I've seen them all!!! Poor Flint Michigan. I like how the guy tries to include his home town in nearly all of his films. It's pretty funny how he works Flint into any plot!

He is absolutely phenomenal at presenting the "other side" of the story that the media won't tell you. However, you still have to take the guy with a grain of salt and realize that the truth is somewhere IN BETWEEN what he presents and what the media presents, especially with F911.

I'm going on line right now to order Roger and Me and Canadian Bacon. I bought the special addition set of BFC and The Big one and it comes with a special 39 cites in 40 days or something like that. It's good too.

Has anyone seen the corporation? He is in part 1, which is all ive seen so far, for a little section. Its an awesome documentry, and im going to watch part 2 and 3 soon.
I've enjoyed Michael Moore's films, but F911, was WAY too manipulative.
I would also like to call it a 'Mockumentary', not a documentary.
Otherwise, MM is great :)
I found Anacondas II a little more factual. But all in all it was just swell!

Canadian Bacon was awesome too!

It's not a Moore film, but on the topic of good docs, check out Super Size Me.
You'll think twice about eating fast food.
LOL We just watched Super Size Me last night.
Sure it makes me think twice about eating fast food. But McDonalds sure is tasty. :P

The worst thing about that movie, was it made me want a Big Mac sooo bad.
Did you see the extra on the DVD entitled the Smoking Fry?

I've seen a few, and am not really a fan. If I am going to watch a documentary it will be about something I'm interested in like wildlife or history, not US politics.
That said I LOVED!!!!! Canadian Bacon. Without doubt his best work!

I've only seen Bowling for Columbine, and I really enjoyed that. I have yet to see Farenheit 9/11, that's next on my list...

check out Super Size Me.
I've seen it four times and I'm going to buy it. It was the Smoking Fry that totally insured that I would never eat Mc Rotties again. I haven't eaten at any fast food place since except for Subway.
Cheers,
Trevor
Anyone see his cameo on Arrested Development a few weeks ago...? I got a kick outta that...

I saw that fastfood tape at Blockbuster tonight while gettinga movie. Thought it was just a spoof, is it worth renting? An what is it about, just how poorly the stuff is made?

Whoa! I am VERY suprised nobody has gone political, but it's a good surprise! :)

I loved Roger and Me. I've watched it so many times now that I don't even have to look away at the rabbit part... Although it still gets to me equally as much every time, I don't sit there jaw-gaped like the first time! lol ...
The Big One was really good as well.. like someone said, he's brought the 'art' of documentaries to the attention of more people, and it's nice to see the increase in numbers...
And like Heather said... The Awful Truths are really good! They're more light-hearted than his full-length documentaries, but good nonetheless!! =)

What is the Awful Truths?

It's a series made by Michael Moore... it's actually called The Awful Truth, but I pluralized it cuz there's a bunch of episodes =P ... Anyway, each episode is a composite of ..."outings" I'd say.. just where he brings certain issues to light. A lot of it is actually pretty funny, but serious at the same time. Really well done. An example is in a couple episodes he addresses the cruelty performed by a big-name chicken farm (With the use of a giant chicken mascot haha)... where not only cruelty is taking place, but also the residents of cities in a certain-mile radius are being affected by a certain type of bug that has infected the area... the bug was drawn to the farm by massive amounts of chicken feces and sick chickens, etc... As far as I remember, that's how that story went, but I saw it a couple months ago, and I have a goldfish equivalent memory =)
If you enjoy Michael Moore's work, you'll enjoy these!!! =)

I wish we had the same media that you have, because our media here is nothing but a President basher

Seconding the
Yeah, I have the second season of Awful Truth on it's way :D
My favourites so far are when Moore plans a funeral for the father of a 4-year-old and invites the CEO of Humana HMO. The man may soon die because Humana has denied coverage for a pancreas transplant...
and the one where Crackers the Crime Fighting Chicken gets arrested when he goes to Disney World to confront Mickey Mouse about Disney's less-than-stellar treatment of their employees...

I'm rolling my eyes mainly at the fact that you say Michael Moore's only good at fiction, whereas his facts that he represents are not facts that were constructed by himself, yet were facts that had already been published in media, if not American, then British, or other. I'm speaking of F9/11, of course, but it's not fair for you to say he makes fiction, when it's already been proven that his facts that he presented were indeed true.
On top of that, It's his documentary, and he can put forth any opinion he wishes.... That IS the point of a documentary... there are no specific rules saying that documentaries must tell both sides of the story. But that does not mean he altered the facts in any way.
AH Ok I'm just going to shut up now because I've had this discussion way too many times and de ja vu freaks me out!!
Trevor, you gonna check out the Awful Truth?

Michael Moore is nothing more than a manipulater of statistics and only the statistics that back up his point. He is just an ignorant master of rhetoric starving for attention.

Yeah but statistics can be used to prove anything. 37% of the population knows that.
