my husband just came home with a male (3 foot ) and a female (4 foot)Dums and well they told him that they could be housed together with out a problum is this true or should i seperate them they have been together for the past 6 months but fed seperate. i also have a 04 dums that is 2 foot long that living in another cage
sorry for the newbie question but i just want what is best for them

It would be best for them to be in seperate enclosures, I would only house them together if going to breed them, and they are deffinitely to small to breed.
So do yourself and the snakes a favor and keep them seperate.

Melissa, ditto what HFH said... it would definitely be best to separate them. Snakes should always be housed separately except when being put together for breeding purposes -- and as he mentioned, yours still have some growing to do before they'll be ready to breed.

Actually Jen dumerils will breed at those sizes or close to them.
If I remember correctly mine were probable about 4-4.5 feet the first time they bred. My males are only 5-5.5 feet now and I doubt if my females are 7 feet yet.
Age is most important, as with most boas.

thank alot i have went out and got another set up for her my husband got them for me for christmas and i'm still learning about everything so thank you for he responses back sorry for the newbie questions. and well for the male that just went through shed i got him to eat a large mouse last night so that is a start.
