I would say, go buy yourself a pair of construction gloves.. like those:

Cuz you might have a couple of bites...
They have huge teeth and like to use them

but you could find some tame ones.. but if those were once wild.. I dont think they will be tame..

I have 4 Amazons tree boa, each are very different, some are not so bad, others are verrrrry nasty... (thats what I like about them... lol )

Anyway, good luck :)

Beth,
Assuming you mean amazons (true cooks are no longer being exported, and are extremely rare in collections, most are found in europe with a few in the states - pretty well everything you see labelled as a cook's is a garden phase amazon)...

Mary said it about right...lol :p They are notorious for their crazy attitudes and boy do they have big teeth!! There are a few very calm ones, but as Mary mentioned, the chances of finding one of those in WC/LTC animals is pretty slim.

Mary,
I didn't realize how light your ammy is. She looked so dark in the other pics, very pretty! :)

nope.....these are cooks......and kinda pretty......they have been in a private collection for 3 years, and produced last year for the first time. One is yellowish, two orange/red and one is motled...the garden I guess you call them. I am excited but nervous at the same time about aquiring them only because anything with teeth seem to test my skin out first!! I have been bitten by everything, so these one's with thier reputations make me a bit leary.....LOL....but hey, whats another bite mark once a week.
Thanks for your input....I do appreciate it.

Beth those are not cooks. The whole idea of a Cooks tree Boa is that they are very Bland in color. No yellow, all taupe color. Only reason you see Cooks tree boas in the market is to get an extra $50.00 out of them.
There is almost NO possible way to tell a true Cooks from an Amazon, their scale counts overlap. And even in the wild they will cross breed. So in reality there are really no Cooks tree boas. All it was is a locality of a smaller group of Amazons. Try reading Neotropic Tree Boas by Hamilton. Although you'll be more confused than before you read it.

Trust me those are not Cooks.

yes Corallus.com is sweet
