I am curious as to what everyone thinks about keeping different species of crocodilian together
for example cuviers dwarfs with spectacled caiman

is it wrong?

in the long run will there be any problems?
any opinions or info on this topic would be greatly appreciated

The reason I ask is taht I have a spec already but totally adour cuviers dwarfs and have an opportunity to acquire one around the same size as my spec. Can I house them together as I have an extremely large enclosure for my baby spec and it can easily house 2 specs but if i can house specs n cuviers together i would like to do taht

i am personally not a croc person. i know of people that have mixed species of crocodilian such as different sp of caimen and A.mississiensis & A.sinensis. presumably this could be done with paleosuchus and caimen crocodilus due to the ranges overlapping extensively. however i am personally not fond mixing species of any reptile. If you have a big enough enclosure and are confident in judging the situation then i guess it would be up to you.

I do mix crocodilian species..

Being wrong, not really. That's pretty much in the eyes of the beholder, you will get a lot of people saying not to, it'll get sick, stress, one will be eaten; You know, all that jazz.
As long as the enclosure is big enough to accommodate 2 crocodilians, a get away place for both animals where they cannot visually see each other and both are eating fine then you should be good.

Try housing two dwarf crocs together and having one chew the other to bits...

I learned my lesson quite quickly after that happened.
