I just bought my first two snakes ever at the White Plains show in New York. I bought a beautiful female okeetee (2 months old), and a Male het. for blood red/lavender. Both are outstanding individuals. However I had many questions for the breeder, and he answered them and sent me home with a care sheet as well. One question I forgot to ask and can't seem to find any where is, after they eat how long should I wait before handling them again? I haven't yet handled them or anything as I'd like them to get used to their new enclosures before I begin to do so, but I'm sure I've seen many places that handling a snake after they eat is terrible for them other than taking them out of where you feed them and putting them back into ther cages. I just cant seem to find how long you should wait before trying to handle them again. Thanks in advance. I'll have some pics up soon :)

We usually give baby corns about 2 days after feeding before we handle them. If it was a really big meal (when they just change from fuzzy to hopper) we let them go for three days - mostly til the big lump has gone down in size - don't want to get them regurgitating.

Congrats on the new corns - they are addicting - hope you can post pics!

Yeah I've noticed they're as addicting as geckos :-/ I'm already looking at snows, and bubble gum, as well as blood reds and lavenders to breed with my male when he gets bigger. Kinda scary I found another addiction. Pray to god I find a big house and soon ....
