Fat-tails (pics)

Just thought I'd post pictures of a some of my female fatties. McKenna is the daughter of my pair Aidan and Cheetah, Maya and Dori are from Linda ("Painted Desert Geckos") and Misha, my special little adopted girl.

I only put them together for a group photo.

Misha is my 'special girl'. She had a bit of a problem when she hatched, the yolk sac was wrapped around her leg. To make a long story short, she now has only a toe stub at the base of her leg, no foot to speak of. It doesn't slow her down one bit. She was pampered and spoiled by her 'birth mother' :) so she's even calmer than other fatties. She loves attention and is a real sweetie.

McKenna is one of my hatchlings. She and Misha are not at all related, yet they look so similar in colour, pattern and personality, it's like they are twins. They're almost always together, sleeping, walking or eating side-by-side. If there's such a thing as fat-tails forming close friendships, this is it. :)

Ha! I hope laughing isn't mean but the toe stub is extremely cute in my opinion. The fact it doesn't hinder her at all makes the whole story really great.

I saw a couple cool lookin' fat tail geckos at the show and was a little tempted but I resisted. Your pics are holding me over. :D

I have a tremper albino leo similar to misha with a clubbed front foot. i find he has the most personality. They adapt and manage to be excellent hunters.

Don't think i've seen any Fat Tails around here at all but they are on my list of "I'll get some eventually". Granted that's getting to be a pretty big list :)

They are so cute. I've recently developed the same addiction to fatties as I have to leos. I think I may have some photos kicking around somewhere of my trio from Niagara. I'll have to hunt them down. Misha's quite the trooper, and very sweet at that:D The first thing I thought was that she and McKenna were sisters! Nice fatties.

I've got a few more but didn't have time to take their pictures. And the one pair was busy doing their mating thing so I really wasn't about to disturb them, the pictures can wait until the next photo session.

As much as I love all the fatties, Misha is my favourite. She's always the first at the door when I open it... not just feeding time, but every time. I'm tickled pink that I got to adopt her.
