Does anybody happen to have Green-Eyed Geckos, if so what are they like compared to crested geckos?? There isn't much info on them online that I have found, if you happen to know of a good care sheet site I'd be happy to look at it.

I saw some of these guys at a pet store for 69.99$ each, and they were with cresteds.

Here is a little info I found about them in The Tokay Gecko Manual:

Green-eyed Gecko (Gekko stentor)
This tropical Asian lizard is a very rarley imported anymore, athough readers should be aware that patterns of this importation can change. It is a large gecko, only slightly smaller then a tokay, but duller in color with grayish-green eyes. Its care requirements are the same as for a tokay.

Yea that helps a lot, there are more info online i could find on tokay geckos than there are green eyeds. Since the care requirements are basically the same i'll just use a tokay gecko care sheet as a source for info.

You have a couple tokays don't you Manitoban Herps? Are they an "agressive" gecko? "Hands-off" gecko? This is what a care sheet had to say about them, I was wondering with your experiences if they are true.

Yah I have a pair of them, if you get them as babys they can be tamed easily.

There a neat gecko to breed b/c they don't harm there eggs or there hatchlings, I think all Gekko species are like that.

Green Eyeds aren't agressive, just shy and skiddish, but if you can get them as babys they will calm down for you.

I am hoping to tame my skunk gecko I had hatch on thursday, looks like his hemipenes have went in and he is getting fast, and hopefully will eat.

I raised G stentor/smithii for a few years. Treat them like tokays and you'll be okay. They're communal and care for the eggs and babies. If the enclosure is big enough, you can keep several males together without harm. They'll form a pecking order. My 3.4 were in a 90 gallon tank, lots of caves and branches. Eggs were glued near the light most of the time. When there wasn't any room left htere, they'd be in a cave. The adults would bask for a while, then run to the cave eggs and sit on them, transferring body heat to them. When I added a UTH to one cave on the floor, they started using it for egg laying.
THey're extremely vocal, LOUD, very loud. I had them in the basement herp room but could clearly hear them on the main floor.
A lot of the green eyes available aren't smithi/stentor. Most of the North American smithii are really G. siamensis. The care is basically the same, no need to worry, but the siamensis don't call as loud.

Oh... they're NOT like cresties. These guys have TEETH and can take their pound of flesh just like a tokay can.
