i would like to start breeding in a few years and i would like to breed retics but i dont think that they would bring in much profit because of their size. i was wondering if i should also breed something smaller such as ball pythons to make a profit. any opinions are appreciated thx

Breeding to make money is really really hard. Very few people make alot of money of their animals. Id breed animals just for the experience and joy of keeping them. But if you really want to try to make some money it would be more economical to breed smaller speices. They eat less in terms of cost to feed and there housing size obviously wont be as big making more room for more animals.

Why dont you save up your money and breed something that isnt constantly being imported and something that is manageable.

IMO I would recommend Womas, Green Tree Pythons, Black Headed Pythons, or ETBS.....considering you have the experience.

If you want any chance at sucess at all, Then breed somthing that you are truly passionate about. Because it is alot of work to get to the point you are making money and if you do not truly love what you are doing then it is just another job and it usually ends up being the animals that suffer in the end.

Honestly your idea of profit ias only a pipe dream, unless your doing it for the love of the animals your not gonna make it in the long run. You need lots of cash to invest in some high quality stock or your not gonna make any money!
