Sweet Russians are my favorite. I'd love to have one but I don't have the room for a set up. Also they seem to be hard to find.

I was just wondering if a moderate amount in normal for this species, all the pics I seen of juvies seem to have pyramiding to an extent except yours ?

They shouldn't pyramid half as much as what you usually see. It's the result of poor keeping early on, and can easily develop later in life too. Linds is perfect:D

The surprise about Lucky is that he NEVER should have made it in the egg, let alone hatch out healthy and strong. Long story short, he's now named Lucky:D

The snake-necked turtle cannot retract its nead into its shell. They do not posses the modifications of the spinal cord to do so. Snake necked turtles are of the suborder Pleurodira, and the family Chelidea. The Family Chelidea is native to S. America and Australia. They are considered to be an ancestral group to the more common and specious suborder Cryptodira, which contains the "typical" Turtles, tortoises, and sea turtles.

Just thought Id add a little info on thoose really fantastic turtles you dont see very often.
