Thanks all!!
Manitoban: Snows are albinos of melansitic Cali Kings (Nitidas, Conjunctas). The melanistic trait gives them a bit of a "purer" looking white as adults, with highly reduced or no yellow.
Thunder: It really depends on the intensity of the melanistic trait. The more complete the melanistic form, the whiter, or cleaner the albino form, with lighter or no yellow. The ones with no yellow at all are called "blizzards."
Katt: Yes, she has a faint stripe down her back. It goes from the nape of her neck to the very tip of her tail. I estimate each yellow spot making up her stripe, takes up about 50% of each scale.
Wow that snake is really nice. Sometimes people say albinos are jumpier than normals, I can't say as I own no albinos, but have you found the snow calm or more jumpy?
Marisa
Well marisa i have two albinos and i have found that thats not true, my female is the sweetest thing in the world, better than some of my normals. But then again i havent been able to calm down my male whove ive had for four years, prob just depends on the snake.

Marisa:
I have handled my amel corn just as much as my anery and snow, and the albino is not as nearly as calm as the other too. But those are corns...hehe
Ace:
Thanks for letting me know what a snow cali is :)
but have you found the snow calm or more jumpy?
Actually, she's has been one of my calmest snakes from the time I got her. She has never rattled, musked or bitten, an absolute baby!! I did have another snow proir to her, but the most she ever did was rattle her tail. So, from my own personal experience, I'd say they are just as calm or even more so than my normals, both of which have musked and/or bitten.

Too bad you are not up here, I have a male that would go with her perfectly as he is a mirror image of her. Has anyone ever seen any without that faint yellow stripe before? Mark
I seen Kirby of Lonesome Valley Reptiles post pics of some that "looked" prefect on the "other" site. But, without seeing the snakes closeup, I can't say for sure. ;)

Depends on the pics too. Mine looks like it has no stripe, but it can be seen in the right light/angles. Nice Cali anyway, Mark
P.S. Katt hows yours looking lately?
My li'l guy is doing pretty good!
His yellow is intensiving, and creeping up the sides, and the orange belly is staying orange! Strange li'l guy!
Orange belly? I think you had posted a pic of that before, any update pics on it? :D

awesome looking cali, I'm looking for more corns and some kings. Where did you get him at?
Thanks again all!!
Nguyen: I got her at a local reptile show (Hamburg, Pa.) from B.E.S.T. Reptiles. Since your in the area, there is a show coming up Hamburg Show (http://pythons.com/hamburg/)
Although they're not listed as one of the dealers that's going to be there, I know there was at least one other breeder there with some last show. ;)

I try not to miss any shows. Lets make plans before the show if you want. I'm going to be buying some corns and calis there. see you there
I haven't missed one in over 4 years ;).
I always wear a bright orange Miami Dolphins cap to the shows when I'm supposed to meet somebody. So, just look for that. I'm sure with the season they're having this year there won't be ANY others there! LOL
