View Full Version : thank you
thanks for the help on selecting a boa,, so do i have this correct, i did read the read first article.
The least expensive is the bci which is not a true redtail, but is not as nervous as the true redtail, therfore a more docile and easier to handle of the 2. thanks again for the help
YEs that is true that they are generally the least expensive, but as far as the second statement - I believe that the temperment remains in the individual reptile not the species
I agree with ydnic (to an extent). Many subspecies have a general 'typical' temperament, but Bcc and Bci are generally interchanged. Definitely go for a baby and work with it, as you will have the best chance of getting handleable snake that way. Even a snake that is completely mild tempered for one owner, may react totally different with the next, so getting a snake that is claimed to be very handleable, is no guarantee it will be the same for you.
