Thanks to school (taking animation at Emily Carr) I've been quite absent from the ssnakess.com forums.

I'm getting into the swing of things now. I've been mainly a gecko keeper for years and years, and promised myself when I finally got bitten hard enough by the snake bug, I'd grab myself a pair of these beauties.

And so I did. Many thanks to Henry Piorun.

Way to go!

Its too bad they dont keep those amazing colors as adults...but they are still beautiful animals.

I know a lot of people hate that they lose their color...and it is unfortunate...

But I fell in love with the adults first, so the beauty of the juveniles is just a nice bonus for me.

Andrea...let me know how your pairs do! The childrens is doing well. I'll have to start searching for a mate for him soon...

Right on, I too traded Henry for a pair of Ringed this season. They are everything but nippy. These little ones are confused they act like baby Milksnakes without the musking & biting. I find mine to be very nervous & flighty. First couple of feedings thye were so nervous you had to tease them & then they kept dropping the prey because they were too nervous of my presence. Not now though they strike & coil like champs feeding well on F/T pinkies or small fuzzies. Super cool little Pythons, Good Luck with yours (you too DNA) Cheers Mark

Interesting. I had not given them a second thought because I thought that they were nasty. Time to do some reading. Me thinks I might like a pair after all. Does anyone have any pics of adults?
Cheers,
Trevor

Mine aren't nippy at all either. A little bit flirghty, but they haven't even attempted to strike.

If you want to see lots of pictures of adults, just do a google image search. Though I think they need to be seen in person to be appreciated.

Congrats Jen, they both look awesome!! :D I was actually just thinking about you last night wondering if you'd managed to meet up with Henry ok yesterday and get them -- I know how anxious you were! LOL.

Best of luck with them, they're beautiful :)

Trevor, I'm sure there's a bunch of pics of adults out there...I'm pretty sure that Henry would have a few on his site on the caresheet that he's got for them. This is a pic of one of Joe's old ringeds, hopefully he won't mind me posting it...

Oh believe me, I was happy when they got here, hehe.

This is a picture of an adult ringed python owned by DNA reptiles. Gorgeous animal...
