repta-bark/bed-a-beast/cypress mulch and similar substrates.. holds humidity better than newspaper, and is actually easier to clean (spot cleaning)

I just use paper towel.

Cypress and other types of mulch would be the easiest to clean, newspaper or paper towel may be cheapest but when cleaning you have to remove the entire flooring while with a mulch bedding you can just take out the "crap" as it's layed.

I agree with Jeff, you can never go wrong with newspaper. Cypress mulch works if you want the natural look, but I find it gets foul rather quickly.

I have to disagree in tha bed-a-beast type substrates are more difficult to keep clean. Substrates with the dark colour and that kind of texture make it nearly impossible to spot any liquid urine and even cleaning all the feces out can be tough......

I prefer repti-bark for my cages.
It looks good, is inexpensive, works well at keeping humidity up, and is easy to keep clean.

I'm trying repti-bark for the first time. So far I like it but it has only been 4 days.

I use a carpet for my carpets.. (lol)
anyway, they are NEVER on the floor..
always hanging up in branches.. and the carpet is easy to clean too.. and looks not so bad..
