Im not very familular with boa color to an extreme point but I know that some of you guys are

is this statement true of a red tailed boa?

HE IS VERY RARE this type of coloring is very hard to come by he has a little sadle red and a yellow tail and he has diamonds all over hes a beautiful snake

I am mostly concerned about this yellow bit? Is that true? Would that be considdered rare?

Yeah thats what I think too, I mean the whole statement just sounds odd.
I don`t have any pictures either. I am even wondering if it is a redtailed boa with the comments about a yellow tail?

What kind of Red Tail did he claim it to be?? My guess is a Colombian.. So, not even a true red tail.. I think you should start looking elsewhere :D Find someone willing to provide pics.

Hey matt

I made a phone call about it

oh jeez - problem is its a 12 year old girl(who her 12th bday is today as a matter of fact)

Talked to the g-ma on the phone and g-ma said its too big for her to handle anymore and are looking for something thats smaller

I said I would call back tonight and talk to the dad

now the emails all make sense

She might just be explaining an albino in a very weird way. A columbian would have diamond shaped markings on its sides and the saddles would have a darker coloring to them almost a pink color, and the body would be yellowish. IDK, may just be BS though.

I find it hard to believe a 12 year old that is unprepared for a Bci would end up with an albino much less. Usually *some* research has been done before dropping $1000+ on a snake :p

yeah me too...but her father bought it for her because some ppl in calgary didn`t want it and she wanted a boa really bad - her father said he paid 350.00 for the snake a lone, and when they were having problems when they first brought it home - they took it to The UofS and the university said that it was a very rare pattern. THey aren`t asking much for it they are just looking for a good home, because this snake is now too big for this little girl to handle

*edit* i`m trying to get pictures, and if I do i`ll post em
